Episode 13: “Backbone” by Carsie Blanton

Sometimes you just need something pretty in your life, don't you agree? Sit down for some Low Elo podcast or maybe a game of League of Legends and give a listen to our latest feature artist, Carsie Blanton.

Following her heart has worked out pretty well for Carsie, earning her widespread critical acclaim and a coast-to-coast fan following for her clever wordplay and indelible melodies. Her remarkable new album, Idiot Heart, represents the Philadelphia-based singer/songwriter’s finest work thus far, a panoramic collection of exuberant, expansive folk-pop, crafted with uncommon spirit and ingenuity.

Low Elo loves russians. We love their vodka. We love their women. We love their League of Legends strats. We especially love their music. This week's track is another out of russia by an artist named Nambavan.

Nambavan lives in the Russian republic of Tatarstan. He began composing music on his first pc in 2000 and got expelled from guitar lessons for not remembering the songs a few years later.

Nowadays he works with his pc, an $80 guitar and a Casio keyboard. His musical diet consists of Blondie, the Sex Pistols, Cerrone, Sonic Youth, Jimi Hendrix, Iggy Pop, The Doors, Giorgio Moroder, Donna Summer, Madonna, Supermax, and the Bee Gees.
